(6 lost a limb | Achtung! Landmine!)

Subject:High Fidelity Moment
Time:3:13 pm.
Mood:wtf.
Music:Brand New.
Since no one really reads this anymore I'll just post for posterity because it shows what kind of asshole I am when it comes to music. So for my Art Of Rock N Roll class we had to pick four songs from 1996-Present Day that we thought were important/influential. The list was compiled and then the class voted on those songs and of couse you know what made it on the list SHIT pure SHIT: Dave Matthews Band (Yeah COLLEGE!), Dispatch (are you fucking kidding me!), Jay-Z/Linkin Park, and so much other horrendous music it was unbelieveable. Only 2 other people besides myself even voted for "Karma Police" from Radiohead!!!....Seriously people are retarded and they make me angry. I love that class and the day we voted I spent the class insulting people under my breath and questioning their quality as human beings based on their choice of music. I'm sure it would have entertained anyone paying attention.

My Choices:
1. Weezer "Pink Triangle"
2. Neutral Milk Hotel "Holland, 1945"
3. Wilco "Reservations"
4. Ted Leo And The Pharmacists "High Party"

(Achtung! Landmine!)

Time:9:33 pm.
Mood:speechless.
A Silver Mt. Zion Hang On To Each Other:

We all got born so afraid
And still search for words
To describe that pain
And cling to each other
Like pigeons in the rain
And nuzzle over feathered breast
With beaks all worn and cracked an stained...

Hang on to each other

So this one's for the lost ones
And the dead ones & the ones who fell away
All our busted brothers
And tumbled lovers
Spitting at the rain

We all got born so afraid
And still search for words
To describe that pain

Hang on to each other...
Any fucking thing you love...

Birds toss precious flowers
From the murky skies above...

Subject:Breakfast Of Champions
Time:2:33 pm.
Mood:huh? what just happened?.
Music:you know.
"So what the fuck are you going to do, kid? Still ratting at the chains of the gates of the world...But you can't quite pretend. Still tasting youth's bitter exile here in your empty generation's wasteland...Where all the things that you've been clinging to are being ripped from your hands."

I can't believe how summer has turned out. I leave for school in about 2 and half weeks and am at a loss for words how fucked everything has been these past few months. I was so excited to get home and now I'm looking forward to leaving. I need to get out of here and hopefully get my head right somehow. It's honestly been all work and no play and it really has made me a dull boy. So if you haven't seen me and you want to then give me a call cause chances are I'll be around!

-Sean Moran

ps-anyone else notice how bad shark week is this year? I always look forward to it but this year it's been a big let down.
